Instructions Not Included

As further proof that I'm insane, I present the following miscellaneous craft projects that are floating around my house. But I'm not going to tell you how to make them. Tough luck.

The Mouse Wig
For years, the major problem facing ReBoot fans who are brave enough to dress up as Mouse for Halloween & such has been the hair. How do you duplicate her hair? My first thought was spray-on haircolor and ultrafine glitter, but then I had a revelation. I have created the best Mouse wig I've ever seen or heard of. Not that there's much competition, but still... It really is lovely. The pictures don't do it justice, what with all the amazing sparkle & shine. And it's even cooler if someone wears it. Someone other than a bucket.

Why I won't tell you how to make it:
Enabling anyone to dress up like Mouse is just plain a bad idea.

The Beanie Null
When I started this whole beanie null thing, I had no idea it would go this far. Camouflage nulls? Nulls with fringe? Socks with eyebrows? Wow.
At any rate, I'm finally posting pictures of the world's second beanie null. I would post pictures of the world's first beanie null, but I wasn't happy enough with it, and I gave it to my sister. But don't tell her I just said that-- she thinks it's cute and named it Nibbles Junior (or Baby Nibbles or something...). My beanie null is named Nullzilla. I know that's what half of the beanie nulls in the world are probably named, but I used the name first! Besides, she's even got a little nametag sewn on her.

Why I won't tell you how to make it:
Because everybody's already made one! I will give you one tip, though-- you don't have to settle for actual beans. The craft store sells these bags of little plastic pellets, and-- I've said too much already.

The Stuffed Icon Thing
My sister won a Stuffed Happyface Thing. She gave it to me, and ordered me to turn it into a Stuffed Icon Thing. I did as I was told.

Frisket inspection

Why I won't tell you how to make it:
Because if you happen to have a Stuffed Happyface Thing to begin with, it should be pretty obvious.

The Action Figure Necklace
It's Bob, surgically altered so he can hang on a chain around my neck. Now I never have to be without him!

Ooh, purty!     He's wearing pretty pink pants here...

Why I won't tell you how to make it:
Only I may mutilate ReBoot action figures. No one else. Just me.
Plus, it's kinda heavy.

The Tiny Valentines
Little Valentine cards featuring Mouse and Dot, cut-out hearts, and gold accents.

Hallmark, eat your heart out.

Why I won't tell you how to make it:
The image I based the cards on is available in the art section. (See "Isn't he dreamy?") You can figure out the rest.

The Icon Pillow
Our expert testers find these fleece icon pillows to be soft and fuzzy, as well as perfect for "double-clicking people over the head" with.

It just makes you want to nap... or wap people. Whatever.

Why I won't tell you how to make it:
I'm still a bit nervous about telling you kids to run off and use that deadly-dangerous device called a sewing machine... Maybe someday.

Miscellaneous (okay, two) Shirts
The "REBOOT RULES" one (a.k.a. my "newbie shirt") didn't work perfectly due to incorrect instructions on the packaging. But that's okay-- the whole thing was worth it just because that shirt was the only reason I got to hear two carnies go into a discussion of Windows 3.1. Meanwhile, the "GUARDIAN ACADEMY" shirt may be my absolute favorite t-shirt at the moment. (Oh, and the letters really are in a straight line-- I was just dumb and set the shirts on a curved suface to take the pics.)

Why I won't tell you how to make it:
Actually, due to popular demand, I probably will give you a quick version of the instructions eventually. It won't be until I have enough stuff to be worth its own page, though.

Stuffed Glitch Bob (unfinished)
Poor guy-- I made his face when Season IV was first on. But I didn't feel like dealing with his hair or body at the time, so he's still just a face.

Bald-- but by accident this time.

Why I won't tell you how to make it:
I don't even know if I'm going to finish it!

I think that's enough scary pictures for the time being. But don't kid yourself-- there's more where those came from. You have been warned.
