Matchbook Shrine
Is ReBoot off the air where you live? Season IV's eternal cliffhanger getting you down?
Use this pocket-sized shrine to save your favorite memories from the series. It's perfect for when you need a little boost of ReBoot love!

YOU'LL NEED:

  • Adobe Acrobat Reader (it's available free if you don't have it)
  • matchbook.pdf
  • color printer
  • white or off-white cardstock
  • fine-point pen
  • scissors
  • stapler
  • metal ruler (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Download the matchbook parts. (To ensure good print quality, this is a 1 MB file. Be prepared to wait a couple minutes if you're on dial-up.)

2. Print the matchbook parts onto a sheet of cardstock.

3. Cut out the matchbook cover and matches along their outside edges.

4. Starting at the tips, make a cut about 3.5 cm long between each match. (If you have a hard time writing small, you may want to make the cut between every two matches instead of every match.)

5. On the back of each match, write the name of something that makes you love ReBoot. You can use your favorite characters, song titles, short quotes, etc. If you run out of ideas, remember that there are more than enough episode titles to fill all of the matches.

6. Fold the matchbook cover like a real matchbook. You may be able to make straighter folds if you bend the cover over the edge of a metal ruler.

7. Put the matches (handwritten side down) inside the matchbook cover.

8. Staple the whole thing together. (Aim for just above the words "CLOSE COVER - STRIKE MATCH ON BACK.")

9. Carry the matchbook with you. Whenever you find yourself missing ReBoot, pull out a random match and read the back. Be overwhelmed by the warm and fuzzy memories it brings.
