Mini Museum Piece
YOU'LL NEED:
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut a ½" long piece off of your dowel. Make a mark ¼" from either end of the piece. Cut from the end of the dowel piece to the ¼" mark, so the dowel has a slanted end.
2. Paint your little bit o' dowel. I recommend using a nice matte black. (You wouldn't want to distract the eye from Glitch, would you?) Let it dry. 3. Take the cap off of the plastic bubble. Glue the piece of dowel to the center top of the cap, with the slanted end of the dowel pointing up.
4. Type up a little sign in your word processor with the title of the piece and any other information you feel is relevant. (Yes, this is your big chance to use that 4 pt font.) Print and cut out the sign. Glue it to the front of the dowel "podium." 5. Let all the glue dry. No, really dry, you impatient thing. It's easier to place your keytool correctly if the other parts aren't sliding all over the place. 6. Use a little bit of poster tacky to stick your keytool securely to the slanted face of the podium. You can use glue if you'd rather, just keep in mind that you won't be able to remove your keytool from its display if you glue it. (You'll also have to stand there holding it in place while the glue dries, and that's no fun.) 7. Place the plastic bubble over the whole thing like a bell jar. Put it on display. Sign your action figures up for an art history course if necessary.
(And before you ask: No, the keytool that comes with Matrix isn't art. That's an accessory.) (back) |
