"Preschool" Toys
This is my idea of what the ReBoot characters might look like as chunky little preschool-style toys. But for the record: you probably shouldn't let a preschooler have them, what with choking risks and paint to chew on and all. They're just meant to be fun for immature grown-ups such as myself.

YOU'LL NEED:

  • wooden "people" pegs
  • white polymer clay
  • acrylic paints & painting supplies
  • glue

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Start with a plain wooden "person" peg, like the one shown below.

Step 1

2. Choose a sprite to make. Use polymer clay to sculpt that character's hairstyle right onto the wooden peg.

Step 2

3. Bake the clay according to package directions. Leave the clay on the peg so it will hold its shape.

4. After the clay has cooled, carefully remove it from the peg. Paint the hair the appropriate color.

Step 4-5

5. Paint the peg to look like the sprite's body. Simplify their clothing into a few horizontal stripes of color. You can add details like icons, belts, and faces if you like.

6. Glue the hair back on top of the head.
